    Light Installation: The  Light Bulb

      The struggle between individuals and the group


A giant light bulb installation standing in the middle of the space. The light bulb is covered by black paint glass, so the space will be totally dark even the light bulb is on.    




Audiences will come to the space with a small light bulb, and these light bulbs will be the only light source in the dark space
 


We ask audiences to throw their light bulb at the giant light bulb 


The installation will be in a different status compared to the beginning. The giant light bulb will show some cracks, and the light inside will pass through the cracks. The light bulb is surrounded by glass fragments  


The ultimate  form of the installation is that the light bulb appears after all the black has fallen and the light  full fill the space

Family Portrait Many Chinese people haven’t returned home since 2020 when the pandemic starts. Not only because of the strict covid policy but also super expensive flight tickets. It seems to go back home has become the most luxurious travel. What my friends and family are experienced in China these years makes me feel that it was a different place from the last time I left. I want to make this “Cyber” family portrait for people who can not return home. I will ask them to have their family in China take a family portrait but leave a space for them. Then I will make each of them a 3d model(use metahuman). In the AR experience, when you scan the family portrait, they will appear in the photo with their family. I will print a physical framed family portrait to be the entrance of this interactive experience because the physical thing can easily pull the audience to this context, and relate to the work.
