Week2 Portrait assignment progress
Family Portrait Many Chinese people haven’t returned home since 2020 when the pandemic starts. Not only because of the strict covid policy but also super expensive flight tickets. It seems to go back home has become the most luxurious travel. What my friends and family are experienced in China these years makes me feel that it was a different place from the last time I left. I want to make this “Cyber” family portrait for people who can not return home. I will ask them to have their family in China take a family portrait but leave a space for them. Then I will make each of them a 3d model(use metahuman). In the AR experience, when you scan the family portrait, they will appear in the photo with their family. I will print a physical framed family portrait to be the entrance of this interactive experience because the physical thing can easily pull the audience to this context, and relate to the work.
